"Hank -- we have been studying the artifact. It came to life in strange ways during the storm last night. Blue and green lightning lit up the sky and the tome began to react unpredictably. We lack the strength to remove the artifact from here -- it has already affected us in powerful ways. We are tempted to destroy it, but such a powerful object may summon untold forces to defend itself... If an Agent finds us in Cross Plains on Saturday we will pass it to them. Perhaps they can continue our work..."
