If you use the Hangouts Chrome extension...

We are aware of an issue affecting the Hangouts Chrome extension in which the extension becomes disabled and/or uninstalled for some users. We are actively working on a fix, as simply re-enabling the extension is not sufficient. In the meantime, if you experience this behavior with the Hangouts Chrome extension, please uninstall and reinstall the extension per the following directions: 

To uninstall
>> In a Chrome browser, type chrome://extensions in the navigation bar
>> Scroll down till you see Hangouts (Note: if you do not see Hangouts, proceed to Install)
>> Click on the Delete icon


To install
>> Visit Chrome Web Store 
>> Click Add to Chrome
