More about the new comments on Blogger

Introducing Google+ Comments for Blogger
Today, we’re unveiling the product I and my teammates have been working on for the last while: a Google+ Comments widget for Blogger blogs. Personally, I wanted to share a bit of context around this launch...
Since the web is a pretty disjointed place, we’ve put this together to help unify the conversation around a given blogpost both for authors and readers alike. We want to make it easy to find the best conversations that are happening around the blogposts you are browsing.
Diving into the technical details a little: we’re pulling together all of the shares around a given blogpost from Google+ (that the viewer has access to) and mixing them with comments that are created right on the blogpost. When a user visits a blog with Google+ Comments turned on, we gather all the shares and comments and rank them so they see the best ones immediately, and then can click a button to filter the set of comments they see down to only those from their circles.
This new feature also has the added benefit that you can comment privately on a blogpost and share it just with your circles -- for example, if I were reading a blogpost about New Zealand, I can leave a comment on it shared with just my family, to tell them that I’ll be doing a trip there -- but only members of my family will see it when they visit that blogpost (no one else will know I commented)
If a blogger opts-in to using Google+ Comments, they get a couple nice additional benefits: for one, we’ll notify the blog author when someone kicks off a new discussion around their blogpost. Also, we’re automatically detecting comments that are likely spam and holding them for author review before they are shown to viewers.
In short, Google+ Comments for Blogger is a new feature we’re excited to release and would love to hear your feedback!

Dan Peterson how is the blogger owner notified of new comments? Carlos Martins is holding on enabling it on his blogs cause he says there is no way for him to get the old email notifications of comments
