#driveupdates for #developers

We just added APIs for apps to save data that is opaque to the user (settings and the like).

It uses the same approach to writing and reading data as visible content so you don't have to learn something new.
We also now support custom meta-data on files. One of my favorite parts of JotSpot back in the day was how Graham Spencer had designed the wiki pages to effectively be bags of properties with flexible schemas. It was amazingly powerful as a developer. For example, building tracker apps became trivial. When translating JotSpot to Sites at Google I wasn't able to maintain this feature (someday I'll write about this transition). So it feels great to get back to this with Drive.
Onward.
