Edubuntu for Ghana - Ideas?
My wife has abandoned her old laptop that had a disk crash in favor of a new unit, so I am thinking of getting a new hard drive for the old unit and booting it up on Ubuntu Linux and installing Edubuntu for my mission trip to Ghana. Apparently the few PCs in the Awombrew's schools are on Microsoft Windows. Hmm, that sounds like an opportunity for more cost-effective learning tools. Any additional thoughts on how best to use Edubuntu and/or other learning tools that can boot up in a Linux environment would be greatly appreciated. Ideally I'd like to get some Google tools in the mix both for education and for improving economic conditions in the village.
