A while back we announced plans for a tool that would help you transfer your circles from one Google+ account to another and ensure that your followers are automatically directed to your new, preferred profile. Today, anyone can visit Google Takeout and click “Transfer your Google+ connections to another account”: https://www.google.com/takeout. For more information, check out this help center article. Thanks again for being so patient!

O.o of course this comes a month after i gave up hope and did it manually... but this is very welcome
ReplyDeleteAh shoot! You should still try it out - especially if you feel some of the followers of your old profile have not found your new one.
ReplyDeleteVery useful! I'm sharing this promptly.
ReplyDeleteWilliam Brine , several of those who followed you on the old account may not have shifted to the new one, and be wondering why you have become mysteriously inactive.
ReplyDeletePooja Srinivas , someone commented on my post that the old account gets deleted, along with its posts and comments. Surely that should be transferred or not at the option of the user?
ReplyDeleteNope. The source profile still exists and if people want to delete it they can downgrade their account.
ReplyDeleteAh, good. Someone else pointed that out there, and so did Ronald Ho.
