Updated two more tablets today (or rather updated one, temporarily bricked one :-D)
The first two pics are for a $100 tab I picked up on eBay. The new rom I found is a huge improvement over the stock rom and seems to have made the touchscreen more responsive. Still on Froyo but has a Honeycomb like launcher.
The second tab is a Sylvania I picked up at CVS. There aren't too many roms available for this and it's currently stuck in recovery. If you know where I can find the original firmware for SYTABEX7 let me know. Until then, off to test out some more roms :-)
Update: Found the firmware and the Sylvania tab is back up. It updated to 2.2.1 from 2.1. No Google Play but everything else works fine. Whew!

ReplyDeleteWrite a book on repairing tablets :-) Publish on Google Plus. Similar to Google Events we should have a combination of Knol and Google Plus to create a knowledge bank.
